Cornflower ‘Ball Mix’
All our seed is from the latest harvest and super fresh.
Also known as Bachelor’s Buttons. The ‘Ball’ series is the best, tallest and most robust mix I have found bringing a welcome splash of colour to the garden or allotment.
Often the mixes are much shorter than the straight Blue, not this one! So if like me, you can’t decide then this selection is for you!
Cornflowers are perfect for the beginner and stand up well out of water. They bloom over a long period and perfectly compliment other hardy annuals such as Orlaya grandiflora, Sweet Rocket, Ammi Majus and Sweet Peas…
How to grow:
For the best results, sow into individual cells in Autumn. This will give plants time to grow before the heat of Summer pushes them into bloom.
Provide support for nice straight stems and deadhead regularly to promote further blooms to appear.
