I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a few weeks. I have had my long awaited Endometriosis excision surgery but unfortunately things didn’t go to plan and I was rushed into hospital again with internal bleeding resulting in a large hematoma in my pelvis which has knocked me off my feet and turned my body black and blue with bruising.
I’m being very careful and not doing very much, no lifting or bending but at least I can get back behind the camera, and show you how well the plants are doing just taking care of themselves which is what happens when they have a good start in life.
Daily snippets are available on my instagram stories from me and my helpers as we start planting the Spring Grow-a-long plants In the meantime here is what the garden looks like now with the plants from the Autumn Jump Started Grow-A-Long. Love Zoe
Mixed Boarder with Autumn Sown Hardy Annuals for early colour (18 April 2024)
This bed already has a few perennials so I am going to use some Autumn Jump Starter plants to fill it up for early flowering.
We have covered planting for a cutting patch, growing for weddings and events and even a flower farm! This time I thought I would give you a few ideas for the home garden.
Whether you want to fill a bed quickly and cheaply or you have a newly planted garden and you are waiting a year or two for your perennials plants to grow (they need to be spaced at their eventual size not at the size they are now) or you just want to add a splash of colour to your garden beds and borders hardy annuals will fit the bill!
Seeds to sow now for
Mixed Border Planting Plan later Summer Colour!
You have been asking which seeds I grow to go in my cottage garden mixed flower beds. Seeds for sowing from late Winter and Spring to pick up from the half hardy plants we grew in Autumn for colour all summer long!
