Bulb lasagnes can be tricky, done right they are spectacular!
However varieties flowering too far apart can go over and look a mess before the last bulb flowers.
Others may bloom too close together swamping other bulbs with their foliage.
So before you decide where to plant yours and which to mix up or plant in isolation here is a quick round up of what I found works in my garden.
Timing may vary slightly depending on your location and the weather, but that won’t matter, they will still bloom in sequence depending on type.

Next I’m going to plant up Neil’s interchangeable containers with 20 tulip bulbs in each 18L pot. 5 of each colour to bloom in succession. Tulips Purrissima, Exotic Emperor (also known as White Valley), Apricot Beauty and Spring Green.
Water and Air compete for space between the soil particles. I’m order to keep the balance it’s vital that containers have adequate drainage.
It is tempting to use spent compost for bulbs and corms however not only will the soil fertility be depleted but also the water holding capacity of the compost or potting soil.
