Zinnia ‘Queen Lime Red’
The dusty matt faces give Zinnia’s a rare and exotic beauty that is perfect with the Dahlia’s in late summer.
Zinnia ‘Queen Lime Red’ is a long standing favourite and a must to grow every year. Plant alone, or together with Zinnia ‘Queen Lime Blush’
If you have space undercover, the extra warmth and weather protection will give them a bit more height, as well as extending the flowering period into Autumn.
How to Grow:
Zinnias will resent cold wet conditions. Avoid frost at all costs.
Sow one seed per cell covering lightly with compost. Seeds benefit from a warm germination period.
Do not allow Zinnias to get root bound. This can delay flowering and cause the flowers to bloom as singles.
Plant 22cm Apart, Zinnias prefer well-drained soil in full sun.

FLOWERING: Pick when stems are firm and the flower heads don’t wobble. To test, hold stems halfway down and gently wiggle back and forth. If the neck of the zinnia flower wobbles, it’s not ready for Picking. Change water regularly when arranging with Zinnia’s to keep water clear. You can also add a drop of bleach to the water.
