Description
Statice ‘Pink Pokers’
Limonium suworoii
Soft pink upright spires.
Quick Growing, they will flower with the Stocks and Wrinkled Cress. A completely new type of Statice to try. You are going to love this!
Perfect if undercover growing space is limited.
Flowering earlier you can pair the beautiful soft pink flowers with Stock ‘Malmaison Pink’, see my gallery for images of them together.
An excellent cut flower, producing tall slender stems, that are easy to arrange.
We have all fallen in love with Statice over the last few seasons due to it’s easiness to grow, longevity in the garden and astonishing vase life.
Use fresh, or dry stems for use during Winter. Simply tie stems tightly, turn upside down for at least a month in a cool dry location. Click here for a video.
How to grow:
This new type grows much more quickly from seed so you don’t want to start seeds too early. Perfect if undercover growing space is limited. it can be started weeks later when the weather is warmer.
Sow seeds onto the surface of the compost. Seeds require light for germination so do not cover with compost.
A bit of warmth will help germination, 19-22°C is ideal.
This variety of Statice looks different at the young plant stage so you’ll be able to tell the difference when tray sharing.
