Carnation Chabaud ‘La France’

Dianthus caryophyllus

Beautifully fragranced Carnation Chabaud ‘La France’ comes in softest ballet pink shades and is the strongest scented of all the carnations from our trials.

From the same family as ‘Sweet William’ this tender perennial is grown as an annual.

Elegant, blue grey foliage, looks beautiful arranged with other late boomers such as China Asters and Eucalyptus.

How to grow:

Sow onto the surface of the compost, pressing down lightly to make good contact and keep seeds moist. Cover with a clear propagator lid.

Seeds will benefit from ‘a bit of warmth’ to germinate, 19-22°C is ideal, a warm kitchen or heat mat is best.
