Grow-A-Long Cynoglossom

Grow-A-Long Cynoglossom (19 September 2024)

As promised here is the brand new video for Cynoglossom! Cynoglossum generally is not as hardy as some of the other seeds we are growing (H5).

Be careful not to over water plants, excessively wet conditions can cause plants to rot. Sow seed into modules in Autumn for the tallest stems and the earliest flowers.

Seeds need darkness for germination, cover lightly with compost and water from underneath so as not to disturb the soil once sown.

A cold greenhouse in early autumn (September) should be naturally warm enough for germination. For later sowing, start seeds indoors or on a heated mat in the greenhouse, Cover seed tray with a clear propagator lid to ensure a nice humid environment. around 20°C is ideal. Do not sow in Mid Winter, the light levels will be too low.

If you accidentally overwater, bring trays indoors to dry out overnight before returning them to the greenhouse. Making sure your greenhouse has good light will help with plant health.

Plant out into final positions from March/April (depending on the weather).

More videos will come as we progress through the season
